If the floor pedals are unresponsive…

The pedals in question!

The pedals in question!

… you need to first check if you understand how they work.

These pedals are detected by the computer as a keyboard. The left pedal emulates the up arrow key, the center pedal emulates the spacebar, and the right pedal emulates the down arrow key.

Like any computer keyboard, the commands are sent to the active window.

If the pedals don't "respond," you need to first ensure that vMix is indeed the active window!

To know if the window is active, just look at the top right corner:

Untitled

In this image, the icons to minimize, maximize, and close the window are grayed out. The window is inactive.

To make it active, just click anywhere in the software window.

The icons will become dark, like in this image:

Untitled

If the pedals still don't work, you can open a notepad and insert text like this:

pédales.gif

If you can make the cursor move up/down and insert spaces, it means the pedals are functional!

If the pedals are functional and vMix is the active window, but they don't allow changing camera angles, please send me a text at (581)890-5254.

Since this problem has never occurred before, I will need to come over to test and debug everything!
