If the Stream Deck isn't working, it can be caused by different things. To determine the cause, we need to start by identifying what exactly is not working.
Here are the possible scenarios:
If you arrive at the studio and are greeted by a Stream Deck that looks like this:
It's because the Stream Deck is connected to the computer, but the software is not running.
In this case, press the Windows key on the keyboard:
In the search bar, type "Stream Deck" and launch the application.
<aside> 💡 IMPORTANT: After launching Stream Deck, you must restart vMix. Otherwise, it will be impossible to control vMix with the Stream Deck.

If the Stream Deck displays absolutely nothing, the problem is likely with the USB hub.

If, when you send a command to vMix (change camera, preset, record, etc.), the button displays a yellow triangle with an exclamation point inside, it's because vMix was started BEFORE Stream Deck.
In this case, simply close vMix and re-launch it!
If this is the case, you need to close Stream Deck and restart it.
To do this, go to the system tray, right-click on the Stream Deck logo, and click "Quit Stream Deck.”
